Indoor Plant x STEM workshop 14th March 2021 (Duration: 2 Hours)

Who needs a green thumb when you've got automated technology?

Today's agriculture routinely uses sophisticated technologies such as robots, temperature and moisture sensors, aerial images, and GPS technology. These advanced devices and precision agriculture and automatic systems allow home gardeners to be more efficient, safer, and more environmentally friendly in taking care of their plants. 

Who should attend this workshop:

This workshop is designed for: 

- Individuals who wish to start growing their own low-maintenance house plant. 

- Individuals who want to get a feel of the electronics and coding involved in making an automated self-watering plant kit to take care of their plants. 

Farm X TECH Experience Topics: 

1.     Introduction 

2.     Grow & Care for indoor plants 

3.     Basic electronics and coding introduction 

        - Using BBC Micro:bit and Microsoft MakeCode for the STEM workshop

4.     Learn how to assemble a smart indoor plant grow kit

Duration: 2 hours

Age:

The recommended age is 12 years old and above.

Tools Provided:  

• Electronics kit, including the BBC micro:bit

(Please note: This training kit is for lesson use only and is not allowed to it bring home.) 

Take away:
